Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-3 over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in the Final of the StuSells Toronto Tankard, held October 10 - 13, 2014 at the High Park Club in Toronto, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Carruthers won 5-3 over Ontario's Rob Rumfeldt in the semifinals of the 2014 StuSells Toronto Tankard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-1 over Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 StuSells Toronto Tankard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada;

Carruthers finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carruthers defeated Heath McCormick (Blaine, USA) 6-1, then won 6-5 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) and 11-4 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Brad Gushue in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the StuSells Toronto Tankard Championship title, Carruthers earned 35.000 world rankings points along with the $15,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 104.396 total points. Carruthers ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 52.500 points earned so far this season.
