Jones finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Aileen Sormunen (Blaine, USA) 7-6, then won 9-0 against Touri Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) and 6-5 against Michele Jaggi (Berne, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Canad Inns Women's Classic Championship title, Jones earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $15,300CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 360.000 total points. Jones ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 90.000 points earned so far this season.
