Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess won 7-2 over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in the Final of the Curl Mesabi Classic, held December 14 - 16, 2013 at the Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, United States. To advance to the championship game, Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess won 8-5 over Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA) in the semifinals of the 2013 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States; and won 6-5 over Wisconsin's Craig Brown in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;
Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess defeated Peter Stolt (St. Paul, MN) 5-3, then won 6-3 against Minnesota's Kent Beadle and 7-4 against Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess won 7-5 against David Murdoch (Aberdeen, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Curl Mesabi Classic Championship title, Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess earned 8.300 world rankings points along with the $5,333CDN first prize cheque. For week 18 of the event schedule, Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
