To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 7-6 over Jamie King (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-4 over Robert Schlender (Airdrie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
Bryden finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Dejia Zou (Harbin, CHN) 8-4, then won 4-2 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) and 4-2 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Bryden earned 9.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 39.900 total points. Bryden ranks 50th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.000 points earned so far this season.
