To advance to the championship game, Sweden's Marcus Hasselborg won 3-2 over Switzerland's Bernhard Werthemann in the semifinals of the 2012 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 5-0 over Sweden's Oskar Eriksson in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland;
 
Sweden's Marcus Hasselborg finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweden's Marcus Hasselborg lost 7-5 to Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT), droppimg another game, 5-4 to Logan Gray (Stirling, SCO) where Sweden's Marcus Hasselborg responded with a 8-1 win over Switzerland's Pascal Hess. For winning the Curling Masters Champery Championship title, Sweden's Marcus Hasselborg earned 13.500 world rankings points along with the $13,884CDN first prize cheque, moving up 34 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 27.608 total points.
