David Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) won 5-4 over Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) in the Final of the MNP Charity Classic, held October 12 - 15, 2012 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Nedohin won 6-5 over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2012 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-1 over Wade White (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
Nedohin finished 3-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nedohin lost 8-2 to Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Kevin Yablonski (Calgary, AB) where Nedohin responded with a 10-5 win over Jordan Steinke (Dawson Creek, BC). Nedohin won 9-5 against Justin Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB), then won 5-4 against Brock Virtue (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the MNP Charity Classic Championship title, Nedohin earned 11.750 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 47.112 total points. Nedohin ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.950 points earned so far this season.
