Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) lost 5-3 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, held October 21 - 24, 2011 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 6-5 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2011 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; and won 7-2 over Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Koe finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Chris Galbraith (Winnipeg, MB) 7-5, then went on to lose 9-2 against Randy Dutiaume (Winnipeg, MB). Koe responded with a 6-1 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Koe won 8-4 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB), then won 6-0 against Mike Assad (Thunder Bay, ON). Koe went on to lose 6-4 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Koe responded with a 7-2 win over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, Koe take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN prize, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 203.515 total points. Koe ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.600 points earned so far this season.
