Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) won 5-2 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Westcoast Curling Classic, held October 7 - 10, 2011 at the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Martin won 6-4 over Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada; and won 9-1 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Martin finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Dave Merklinger (Vernon, BC) 7-3, then won 7-6 against Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK) and 7-2 against Ferbey in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Westcoast Curling Classic Championship title, Martin earned 26.280 world rankings points along with the $17,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 307.320 total points. Martin ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.280 points earned so far this season.
