In their opening game, Balsdon defeated Ben Bevan (Ajax, ON) 8-7, then won 8-2 against Mike Anderson (Markham, ON) and 7-5 against Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON). Balsdon won 5-4 against Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Balsdon earned 10.650 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the OCT Championships, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 21st place overall with 59.390 total points. Balsdon ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.650 points earned so far this season.
