Allen finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Allen defeated Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN) 7-4, then won 7-1 against Pierre Charette (Saguenay, PQ) and 6-5 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON). Allen won 7-6 against Desjardins, then won 6-0 against Ken Thompson (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, Allen take home 21.015 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN prize, moving up 48 spots the World Ranking Standings into 48th place overall with 30.915 total points.
