Wade White (Edmonton, AB) won 6-4 over Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic, held October 16 - 19, 2009 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, White won 5-2 over Chris Schille (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2009 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-1 over Tim Krassman (Medicine Hat, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
White finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, White defeated Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) 7-4, then won 7-6 against Colin Tanton (Edmonton, AB) and 6-4 against Dean Ross (Calgary, AB). White won 7-5 against Steve Mackey (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic Championship title, White earned 22.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, White did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. White ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
