Borne won 6-3 against Andrea McCutcheon (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-6 against Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB). Borne went on to lose 6-4 against Mallett. Borne responded with a 5-3 win over Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Borne went on to lose 7-4 against Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
