The US Senior Nationals start Wednesday in Centerville, Wisconsin. The field consists of 17 teams in three pools.

Pool A-Farbelow, Sormunen, Mellerup, Van Brunt, Matzke and Brengengen

Pool B-Pustovar, Erickson, Jacobson, Locke, Olson, Foley

Pool C - Sieg, Wright, Gibbs, Cameron, Le Clair

To two ton gorilla here is Farbelow who was added to last years National Champ Team Goodland. This 5 headed team will make sure anyone taking the title from them has earned it.

Tough to argue that the top two seeds in any pool will not advance to the 6 team playoff, but I am sure there will be an upset or two.

Notable team changes are Fraboni joining Pustovar, Nihls Johansson being lured out of Arizona by Wright, Sormunen joining forces with Ebert out of Madison and the return of Jerry Van Brunt with his brother David.

Lyle Sieg with a familiar cast has returned and will be my favorite to upset Farbelow.

Maybe Tuck can place some odds on here. I had a tough time counting up the 17 teams.

They're not a top 4 seed, but I've picked good longshots before. Erickson wins this.

Bizarre weather in New Zealand. I'm not sure Kiwi will make it to Lethbridge.

Erickson is a good pick. I see last year he lost to Goodland 4-5 in the semi's.

Farbelow vs. Erickson in the finals. Both teams are undefeated in Centerville. The competition and the ice was fantastic, good luck to both teams, the USA will be well represented at worlds.
