The two 'C' qualifiers will be decided Sat aft between Kaufman vs Kleibrink and the other is Sweeting vs Moore. Tonight Webster lost in an extra end to Kaufman. Webster had hammer and she hit and rolled too far leaving Kaufman shot.

If McCarville somehow gets her game together and Ashely Maharaj finds form they might be the only ones capable of preventing Rachel Homan from a complete walk-over in Ontario.
Breaking News: After a relatively conservative pitty-patty game with Barb Spencer, Jennifer Jones exploded in the final half of the game and leads undefeated Spencer 8-5 coming home!
Michelle Montford is tied with Jan Harvey 5-5 coming home, Harvey w/ hammer.
It hasnt really been a case of krista needing to find form its been a case of her team not supporting her. Krista has been good this week, she's done what she can. Her team needs to support her more and if they do then and only then will she have a shot

Sherry would have gotten second place if she won last night and she had an easy shot to do it..she'll kick herself for that one
im not surprised to see webster not even make the playoffs again. This team is vasty over rated. They almost never factor in at big events and this is just another peice of rpoof for that. Have to wonder how much longer geri-lynn and erin or crystal is going going to let this continue.
very important games in nova scotia this morning. The top 3 advance. If Nix knocks off smith dacey and arsenault can defeat hungry for a win mattatall then arsenault gets a bye into sunday's final.
Lawton is rolling along in saskatchewan while amber struggles. i was anticipating a lawton/holland final but it looks like either englot or paulsen may be there instead
anyone want to pick the final 2 alberta qualifiers? im taking kauffman over kleibrink and sweeting over moore.

The last end would never have played out the way it did if Earl had been coaching. You cannot leave the guards out front when you have last rock and the game is on the line. ( A lesson non-sensational Sherry didn't trust last night either)

Its funny because in the game against auld yesterday we saw tyhe influence and importance of earl. rachel was up 5-4 and looking at a rediculously thin double for 2 to go ahead by 3 instead of drawinf for 1. Earl intervenes and calls a time out and rachel plays the draw

Want Crocker and Paulsen to pull through. It'd be nice to get some juniors this year.

I agree kyoh. Time for some juniors to get through.
would like to see Montford come through MB. Anyone but COC.
I am torn about NS as it would be neat to see Colleen back, but KK is not my favourite to watch and I don't think they would be contenders.
Here's to a changing of the guard.

Arsenault and nix win this morning
this means that nix and smith-dacey play a rematch in the 2 v.s 3 game and arsenault gets a bye to the final

There have been cool performances already.
Say what you will about Team Jones, but you really have to admire what they've achieved. Jennifer and Jill balancing curling with the needs of infants, Kaitlyn returning to vice, and the team hasn't skipped a beat in rolling to a 5-1 mark. They may or may not represent Manitoba this year, but I really respect their chemistry and shot making!
In Ontario, Team Middaugh continues to battle long odds. Remember Sherry needed the gift from Team Nimik to even reach provincials. And now they're on the ropes again - can they get on the right side of the inch in time?
It is easy to criticize any of these teams, but they are all good and it is a fine line between winning and losing. I admire all of the teams for putting in the time, effort, and expenses to chase the SToH dream. It makes for a special event. Can't wait to see the upsets and which younger teams break through!
Finally, and I don't even know why I care about this, but I wonder how Kim Scheider feels. She didn't even get a whiff of qualifying for provincials with Team Doig. But she did get to spend a year as national champions, and she got to share that with her sister. That had to be very special. Here's hoping she's happy and earns her way back.

exciting finish in the Red Brick group in MB. Down to the wire for Robertson and COC both. Will they get a tie breaker or will it be all over? 2 ends to go. Fallis. Carey. Kilgallen. COC Thurston and Robertson all in this mix.

MB SToH
Avoided tie-breakers in Red Group. Kilgallen in 1 vs. 1 game, Carey in 2 vs. 2
In SK Lawton into playoffs. For Holland and Paulsen fans both into tie-breakers.

The Homan wolves just slaughtered the Auld Does 9-0. Auld didn't have draw weight.

WOW. that is incredibly disrespectful. have the courtesy to name the opponent
homan destroyed auld in ontario. Seems like wheels are coming off for auld. she started the week 5-0 and she's gone 1-4 since.
