Manitoba Scotties
As we all knew last summer when teams started to form, Manitoba was going to be a barn-burner!
Looking forward to working the Sportsnet coverage of the semifinal and final on Sunday and who might end up in that final.
Kerri Einarson, Tracy Fleury ad Darcy Robertson all place in the top 10 on the Order of Merit this season, so they're certainly in the mix! Allison Flaxey is close and has an experienced team that will be tough as well.
We've also got a number of other team who will threaten this week.
Who's your pick to win?

How could you not pick Einarson to win? They have been great this year.

Really like what Fleury has done this year with Einarons' old team. Fleury can draw and that will matter when the chips hit the table on the weekend.

After winning the MCT Championship and some big wins early, Beth Peterson looks like she had upset potential. Be nice to see a young team break out in this tough field.

Flaxey hasn't exactly been dominating. In an extra end without hammer now after needing to score 3 to win last night. Einarson sure is rolling though.

Holy **** Manitoba curling has lost their mind!!!!
Einarson should just walk away and play the wildcard game.

What were they thinking? But, Einarson has faced adversity and controversy in this event before and it's like water off a duck's back. One stone at a time.

There's a HUGE difference between lose and go home , or lose and still have a chance.
I could see using the draw to the button to decide hammers and colors, but a 1/2 or 3/4 game is idiotic.

With the pools being properly seeded, it makes more sense to put the 2 pool winners into the 1v2 game and then group the pools for the 3v4 game so no one misses the playoffs with the same record.

Hey Gerry,
What are the chances the forum is going to be fixed?

Manitoba Scotties
The tall foreheads that run Manitoba curling have now determined in their infinite wisdom that a culmination of stones closest to the button would determine playoff placings in the most important women's event on the provincial calendar. Back in the day we used to use that method to determine winners of a turkey or bottle of whiskey! In doing so they severely penalized one of the classiest teams and premier teams in the province-- and country. The deep-thinkers who preside over this great game in Manitoba are an embarrassment They have never kept pace with the rest of the country when it comes to innovation and general rules. The province's curlers win despite this. For instance, the triple knockout system used in forward thinking Alberta is much superior.

barn burners both at the saturday night draw.
ackland is pushing einarson and fleury has taken the advantage away from robertson.
Just watched S.Anderson dive to the 3-4 game over in SK. Silvernagle (Layton at 3rd) looks strong there.
BC Juniors - Men and Women are playing strong but Go MB GO, JTRyan and crew.
Edit: and Einarston and Fleury it shall be. I call Kerri over Darcy in the next match.

Does the Robertson team even have any clue what draw weight is today?

Does Einarson have any clue, open draw for 3 & sends it through the house...

Wholly Sh*tballs as HNed would've said. Einarson grabs a fiver in two.

And Tracey has it all tied up. Thinking, the momentum has Fleuried over to the other side! Rootin' for Einarson 'cause even though I know Fleury is a MB team, she feels NO.. unlike Flax, who felt MB.

Really disappointed in Team Einarson. That front end looks championship-calibre, but Sweeting has had a bit of a stinker. Einarson hasn't been clutch either.
I hope they win the Wild Card, unless Homan drops into that game as well.

Congrats to Team Fleury and now her former Einarson team mates can enjoy 5 minutes of gloating!
Fleury is one cool cucumber and now she has a great front end to back her up!

Do you think Team Einarson will stay together? Remember Fleury had 3 who have curled together a long time.
