The one thing we could count on last year was that we had something to unite and complain about. With some positive early season results we can't complain without sounding pretty silly.

This year the HPP failed to break up an existing team that was playing well.

HPP teams have had multiple qualifying results in competitive events.

The US Championship is being more heavily weighted in determining our World representative.

so far it looks like all 5 USA teams are getting regular competition against top-50 teams on relatively high quality ice. this type of experience should help them in many ways.

Gee, it's almost as if they listened to legitimate criticism on how they were doing business and reformed their worst practices...
