2015 Twin Cities Open Junior Challenge
Hello all.
Just wanted to make you aware of a great NEW Junor event in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota in September.
The Twin Cities Open Junior Challenge
This competitive event will feature a field of 12 Junior Womens and 12 Junior Mens Teams from around the world. The event is set in September as a way to start the competitive season with top quality games against an international field.
AS the newly named Olympic Training site for US Curling, the World Class, Four Seasons Curling Club features six sheets of ice that are held to Championship Quality on a day to day basis. With 5 feet of curl and up to 26 seconds of speed we are sure you will find the conditions to your liking.
The club also features spacious locker rooms, multiple meeting spaces, a dryland workout center, and a full bar and restaurant.
Homestays for Traveling Teams
As we expect many international teams to travel to this event, our members have offered to provide homestay for many of the teams to help defray cost of the trip.
Host Hotel
Our host hotel for the event, for those who choose to use it, is the Centerstone Suites of Blaine.
Training Ice Available September 14th to 17th
In an effort to make the trip worthwhile for traveling teams, we are offering training ice during the daytime hours of the week prior to the event. A two hour block of ice can be reserved between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on September 14, 15, 16 or 17 for just $100.00 per block. Ice will be scraped and pebbled for each practice session and will be event quality.
For more information, please see the event Facebook Page here: https://www.facebook.com/twincitiesopenjc?ref=hl
Thanks for your consideration. We hope to see you in September.
