relegation
I was only half listening but did anyone else hear them say if it's a 3 way tie for last it would be a draw to the button for last to be relegated? One single draw to decide it all or the cumulative totals for the games all week?

From the way he worded it, I interpreted it to be one single draw to the button,

The team with the worst LSA average would be the team relegated. Each team draws the button prior to each game which is the LSA.

It would be the cumulative for the week for the teams. Think this is a situation where tiebreakers should be held.

I heard Vic say that and Cheryl's response... not sure why they do not know the format.
Relegation has not been decided yet according to the standings and the DSC stats.
New Brunswick is at 3-6 now, and will likely lose to NO so they will be 3-7 after tonight.
One likely scenario after NO beats NB tonight...
BC beats NB they both finish 3-8
MB beats PEI so PEI finishes 2-9
QC beats NT so NT finishes 2-9
PEI beat NT in round robin so NT would be relegated.
Otherwise if it doesnt go that way.... head to head applies first, then DSC comes next.
Why do curling fans not see the Draw Shot Challenge results on either CZ or the official Brier curling.ca website? Not only for an issue like relegation, but for a major issue like who gets into the 1-2 game if teams were tied?

The Spuds have been relegated. The Territories beat Quebec, and frankly it would have been a miscarriage if Koe's gang got bounced.
I wonder how many Islanders will be buying advance packages for next year?

One of NS and PEI will be out next year, how about all those fans from NS who have been a mainstay, with their yellow rain hats.
Thank goodness next year is the last year for the CCA's faux pas.

Might be a good move for her to fix this before 2018 ..
curl on monday morning , add a few extra draws , cancel tv coverage lol , figure a way to meld nunavit, nwt , yukon , and now pei into a great system and usually a great brier...
we hit bottom this year - time to start heading up
Ya cause the fans wanna see Nunavut get pummeled by every team there 18-0. I think this relegation is starting to be readily accepted. It is doing what it is supposed to be doing. Getting rid of the rif raf so we can host a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP not a C league spiel.
Do you think for one minute that TSN wants to show and or speak to teams getting pummeled out there draw after draw. Look at the caliber of this Brier. BEST EVVVER. This is what our National Championship should be.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Fresca but this Brier has changed the game. Look at ticket sales. Do you think that the fans are getting ripped off cause Nunavut, YK and NS are not here. Play better.
My vote is that there is no change cause this format is working.

Great to see you segregate the country into a new territory called rif raf, Firstly you spelled it wrong, and if you knew the definition you would never call out parts of our country this way. Look it up, reflect, and then post your apology.

Ticket sales are good apparently but TV ratings are alarming. If trend continues downward could be serious for slams and championships.
