Fujinaka finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujinaka lost 4-1 to Wakabayashi, then responded with a 7-2 win over Shuhei Takamatsu (Okayama, JPN). Fujinaka won 7-1 against Kenichi Nakagawa (Okayama, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Nishi-Nihon Curling Championship Championship title, Fujinaka earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Fujinaka did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fujinaka ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
