Parent finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Parent defeated Peter Hlushak (Edmonton, AB) 7-3, then won 5-4 against Warren Kozak (Calgary, AB) and 7-6 against Tyler Pfeiffer (Edmonton, AB). Parent went on to lose 8-4 against Adam Elsenheimer (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #3 Championship title, Parent earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,700CDN first prize cheque. Parent move up 8 spots after posting a net gain of 4.606 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 78th overall with 46.309 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
