To advance to the championship game, Koe won 6-2 over Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup in Enoch, Alberta, Canada;
Koe finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 6-5 to Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB), then responded with a 10-6 win over Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB). Koe won 8-4 against Karsten Sturmay (St. Albert, AB), then won 8-7 against Sluchinski to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 6-5 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup Championship title, Koe earned 30.000 world rankings points, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 26.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 223.750 points earned so far this season.
