Holyoke/Ryan Runner-Up at 2022 Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel

Grace Holyoke/Thomas Ryan (Toronto, ON) lost 7-0 to Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) in the Final of the Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel, held November 4 - 6, 2022 in Palmerston, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Holyoke/Ryan won 9-1 over Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Belgrave, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel in Palmerston, Ontario; and won 10-5 over Sarah Bailey/Dylan Sipura (St. Catharines, ON) in the quarterfinals.

Holyoke/Ryan finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Holyoke/Ryan defeated Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Stouffville, ON) 7-6, then won 13-6 against Harley Rohrbacher/Vincent Scebbi (Cleveland, OH). Holyoke/Ryan went on to lose 7-4 against Terri Weeks/Sam Steep (Waterloo, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel, Holyoke/Ryan take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $700CDN prize. For week 14 of the event schedule, Holyoke/Ryan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Holyoke/Ryan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
