Murphy finished 3-1 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy lost 4-3 to Heather Heggestad (Thornhill, ON), then responded with a 7-2 win over Mackenzie Kiemele (Niagara Falls, ON). Murphy won 6-5 against Cathy Auld (Thornhill, ON), then won 7-6 against Danielle Inglis (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
