Balsdon lost 10-5 to Charley Thomas (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) where Balsdon responded with a 10-6 win over Dayna Deruelle (Harriston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Balsdon earned 6.377 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 49.592 total points. Balsdon ranks 91st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 40.823 points earned so far this season.
