Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) qualified for the 2017 U21 Nautius Slam playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS).

Marin finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin defeated Michael Donovan (Moncton, NB) 6-5, then won 6-5 against Stefano Sokolic (Halifax, NS) and 10-3 against Purcell. Marin won 6-5 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 8 of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
