Johnson Tao (Richmond, BC) finished 2-5 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tao defeated Kyle Habkirk (Victoria, BC) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-8 against Alex Horvath (Victoria, BC). Tao responded with a 7-6 win over Nathan Silva (Surrey, BC). Tao went on to lose 6-3 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Tao lost 6-5 to Jesse Monette (Vernon, BC). Tao lost 8-3 to Matthew McCrady (New Westminster, BC). Tao lost 7-3 to Dawson Ballard (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
