Joe Frans (Bradford, ON) won 8-5 over Greg Balsdon (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Brantford Nissan Classic, held November 28 - December 1, 2013 at the Brant Curling Club in Brantford, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Frans won 7-6 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2013 Brantford Nissan Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-1 over Travis Fanset (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals.

Frans finished 3-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Frans defeated John Young Jr. (Chatham , ON) 5-4, then won 5-4 against Darryl Prebble (Toronto, ON). Frans went on to lose 3-2 against Mike Jakubo (Sudbury, ON). Frans responded with a 7-4 win over Mike Anderson (Markham, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Brantford Nissan Classic Championship title, Frans earned 13.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 116.040 total points. Frans ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.500 points earned so far this season.
