Ulsrud won 7-6 against Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER), then won 6-4 against Jan Hauser (GC R+B, SUI) and 9-6 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.
Ulsrud earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the World Men's Curling Championship.
