Silvernagle buried shot stone on the button with her last rock, looking for steal to win. Cameron lined up the shot, a modicum of sweeping added to guide the shot, hitting her own guard straight back 12-feet to stick it in the four-foot to score two. Cameron's Runback to win: Silvernagle opened scoring by stealing a single point, with Cameron blanking the second end. Cameron hit back with three points in the third end, with Silvernagle returning the favour, blanking the fourth end and getting their own three-point score. Cameron scored a single in the sixth end to even the score at four after six ends, with Silvernagle re-taking the lead by scoring a single in the seventh end. Cameron went 3-1 through qualifying in the 15-team triple knockout bracket. Cameron opened with an 8-0 win over Heather Steele on Thursday evening, after which they suffered their lone loss of the weekend, an 8-4 defeat at the hands of Momoha Tabata of Sapporo, Japan. The loss dropped Cameron into the B-event, where wins over China's Yujie Zhang, 8-3 and Japan's Honoka Sasaki, 8-5 to advance to the B-qualifier game. Korea's Eunji Gim and China's Rui Wang qualified through the A-event qualifiers and receive byes directly into Sunday's semifinals. Tabata took the second spot through the B-Qualifiers, winning 9-1 over Edmonton's Selena Sturmay. Tabata and Cameron slot into Sunday morning's quarterfinals, lining up to face two teams yet to be determined through the C-event bracket. |
