Team McEwen secures 2025 Brier berth
Team McEwen (photo:CurlingCanada) are the second qualifiers for the 2025 Montana's Brier. By: Meredith McCullum Team Mike McEwen earned 236 CTRS points with a 58-27 record for the 2023-24 season. They made it to the final of the 2024 Brier and followed it up with a semifinal finish at the final Grand Slam event of the season, the Princess Auto Players Championship. The Saskatchewan based team features lead Dan Marsh, second Kevin Marsh, third Colton Flasch and skip Mike McEwen. 2023-24 was their first season as a team and they have many positives to take away from the year. A second place finish at the Brier is no small feat for a newly formed team and with a stellar finish to the season, Team McEwen will look to ride their momentum into the first events of the 2024-25 season. With Canadian Olympic Trials Qualifier spots up for grabs and big goals of making the jump from silver to gold, Team McEwen will be a team to watch next year. |
