Rick Blight

Throws: Right
In Own Words:
First Round pick of the NHL Vancouver Canucks in 1975, Blight scored 96 goals for 221 points over the course of 7 seasons with the Canucks and Los Angeles Kings.[cr][lf][cr][lf]Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Blight[cr][lf][cr][lf]Blight's career was derailed in the late 1970s when he blew out his knee. Already a "marginal skater," the big winger no longer had the wheels to prolong his five-year NHL career.[cr][lf][cr][lf]After a few minor-league stops in places like Dallas and Wichita and a preseason with the Edmonton Oilers in the mid 1980's, where he played an exhibition game on Gretzky's right side Blight hung up his blades and came home.[cr][lf][cr][lf]Blight had never thrown a stone before coming back to help run the family farm implement dealership in Carman. But he soon fell in love with the game.
