In Own Words:
I am married to Amelia Young (Pirkl). The first time I met her was at the 2006 Bismarck Summerspiel. At the time I had no idea I would even see her again. But, two years later I did see her again at the Fargo Open Bonspiel and this time she was single. Surprisingly she called me (I hadn’t even given her my number), and asked me to "come help her work on her slide". We went out for drinks afterwards for our first date. We spent several more weekends together at different bonspiels that year and two years later we were married.
