To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 9-4 over Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR) in the semifinals of the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-1 over Krista Scharf (Thunder Bay, NO) in the quarterfinals.
Tirinzoni finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Corrie Huerlimann (Zug, SUI) 6-2, then won 10-1 against Julia Markle (Toronto, ON) and 9-3 against Scharf in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard, Tirinzoni take home 38.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Tirinzoni ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 93.500 points earned so far this season.
