Adams Jr. finished 12-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . Adams Jr. won 6-4 against Andrew Sinclair (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 7-1 against Chris Silver (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 5-4 against Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. responded with a 9-5 win over McCarville.
