Jinen Luo (Chengdu, CHN) 7-4, then went on to lose 5-3 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). Sturmay responded with a 7-2 win over Robyn Silvernagle (Sexsmith, AB). Sturmay went on to lose 5-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Sturmay lost 8-1 to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
