Calvert finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Calvert defeated Kurt Balderston (Sexsmith, AB) 10-5, then won 6-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Calvert went on to lose 3-2 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Calvert responded with a 7-6 win over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Calvert won 6-3 against Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 5-4 against Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Calvert earned 16.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic. For week 16 of the event schedule, Calvert did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
