To advance to the championship game, Walter won 10-3 over Timothy Hodek (Fargo, ND) in the semifinals of the DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 4-2 over JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Walter finished 4-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter lost 6-0 to Lee, droppimg another game, 7-3 to Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) where Walter responded with a 9-3 win over Zach Norris (Morris, MB). Walter won 10-4 against Elliott Mansell (Denver, CO), then won 5-4 against Jordan Peters (Winnipeg, MB) and 3-2 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NO) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the DEKALB Superspiel, Walter take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize. For week 17 of the event schedule, Walter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Walter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
