Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) lost 6-2 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Co-op Canadian Open, held November 5 - 10, 2024 in Nisku, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 6-2 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open in Nisku, Alberta; and won 6-5 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open in Nisku, Alberta;

Gushue finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) 6-1, then won 8-2 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 5-4 against Edin. Gushue won 7-5 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Co-op Canadian Open, Gushue take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $32,000CDN prize. For week 15 of the event schedule, Gushue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gushue ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
