Jiyoon Kim (Seoul, KOR) finished 5-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 6-5 to Tahli Gill (Brisbane, AUS), then responded with a 6-4 win over Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Kim went on to lose 8-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kim lost 6-4 to Kadriana Lott (Winnipeg, CAN) where Kim responded with a 9-3 win over Zuzana Paulova (Prague, CZE). Kim won 7-5 against Rebecca Hamilton (McFarland, USA), then won 7-6 against Vanessa Tonoli (Zoetermeer, NED). Kim went on to lose 8-5 against Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL). Kim responded with a 7-5 win over Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 20.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 40 of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 28th place on the World Ranking Standings with 65.626 total points. Kim ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 65.626 points earned so far this season.
