Howard lost 8-2 to Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) where Howard responded with a 7-3 win over Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL). Howard went on to lose 10-6 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NO). Howard responded with a 8-3 win over Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Howard went on to lose 8-7 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Howard lost 6-5 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Howard earned 10.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Howard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Howard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
