Ainsley finished 1-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ainsley lost 7-3 to Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT), then responded with a 8-4 win over Brad Minogue (North Bay, ON). Ainsley went on to lose 6-4 against Mooibroek in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ainsley earned 6.375 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the COMCO Cash Spiel. Ainsley move up 32 spots after posting a net gain of 4.542 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 136th overall with 17.456 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Ainsley ranks 111th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.125 points earned so far this season.
