Knapp finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Knapp defeated Michael Carss (Saskatoon, SK) 9-4, then went on to lose 10-6 against Jacobson. Knapp responded with a 6-4 win over Matthew Drewitz (Saskatoon , SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Great Western Brewing Bonspiel, Knapp take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 142.375 total points.
