To advance to the championship game, Kalthoff won 7-2 over Josh Bryden (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2023 Regina Highland SaskTour Spiel in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-1 over Dylan Derksen (Hague, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Kalthoff finished 3-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kalthoff defeated Lane Zuravloff (Canora, SK) 7-5, then won 6-4 against Garret Springer (Regina, SK) and 6-4 against Heidt in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Regina Highland SaskTour Spiel Championship title, Kalthoff earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 48th place overall with 74.485 total points. Kalthoff ranks 54th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.250 points earned so far this season.
