Dong/Ma finished 3-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dong/Ma defeated Julia DiBaggio/Michael Mann (Cleveland, OH) 10-2, then won 8-3 against Casandra Spruit/Geoff Spruit (Winchester, ON) and 7-5 against Michelle Roach/Adam Gilbert (Burlington, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
