Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) won 10-4 over Sweden's Fredrik Nyman in the Final of the Tallinn Mens International Challenger, held September 28 - October 1, 2023 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. To advance to the championship game, Stocker won 6-5 over Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2023 Tallinn Mens International Challenger in Tallinn, Estonia, Estonia; and won 5-3 over Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Tallinn Mens International Challenger in Tallinn, Estonia, Estonia;
Stocker finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stocker defeated Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI) 7-0, then won 7-3 against Andreas Harstad (Oppdal, NOR) and 7-4 against Simon Spits (Zoetermeer, NED). Stocker won 7-3 against Eduard Veltsman (Tallinn, EST), then won 7-1 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Tallinn Mens International Challenger Championship title, Stocker earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $1,724CDN first prize cheque. Stocker move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of -2.922 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 110.016 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Stocker ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.000 points earned so far this season.
