In their opening game, Lawes lost 8-7 to Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) where Lawes responded with a 6-3 win over Tabitha Peterson (St. Paul, MN). Lawes won 8-6 against Marianne Roervik (Lillehammer, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
