Tirinzoni finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Morrison 5-4, then won 10-3 against Jennifer Harvey (Cornwall, TOR) and 8-2 against Shelley Hardy (Sarnia, ON). Tirinzoni won 7-4 against Carly Howard (Toronto, ON), then won 6-1 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 41.250 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 1st place overall with 493.750 total points.
