Thiesse/Dropkin finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thiesse/Dropkin defeated Madison Whitney/Morgan Whitney (Petersham, MA) 11-2, then won 9-1 against Allison Kenney/Edward Scimia (Wayland, MA) and 11-0 against Melissa Fountain/Tony Kot (Lafayette, CO). Thiesse/Dropkin won 9-0 against Moores/Wheeler in their final qualifying round match.
