To advance to the championship game, Lawes won 6-2 over Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Mother Club Fall Curling Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-3 over Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Mother Club Fall Curling Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
Lawes finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated Grace Beaudry (Winnipeg, MB) 8-3, then went on to lose 5-4 against Rhonda Varnes (Portage la Prairie, MB). Lawes responded with a 7-4 win over Anderson. Lawes won 6-1 against Kristy McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mother Club Fall Curling Classic Championship title, Lawes earned 26.250 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 293.529 total points. Lawes ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 53.750 points earned so far this season.
