Minseo Kim (Bongmyeong, KOR) finished 1-5 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Gayeong Shin (Jeonbuk, KOR) 9-8, then went on to lose 7-6 against Bobae Kang (Songhyun, KOR). Kim lost 9-7 to Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR). Kim lost 7-4 to Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR). Kim lost 6-3 to Yujin Bang (Uiseong, KOR). Kim lost 9-4 to Eunjung Kim (Gangneung , KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 0.938 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 1 of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
